The conference and its social events take place across 3 venues: Up Events, Dutch Pancake Masters, Amsterdam and boat hire (Friday evening) and the Steigenberger Airport Hotel (Saturday dinner and accommodation if chosen)
The conference (23-24 August) will take place at Up Events, Amsterdam West. This is a unique venue nestled in a peaceful, green environment with lots of space for our presentations, workshops and demonstrations. It is a relaxed atmosphere and is dog-friendly!.
There will be shuttle buses from the Steigenberger hotel to Up Events, distance is about 12 kilometres.
If you prefer to come by public transport, there is a direct train from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Sloterdijk. From here, take bus 61 (towards Osdorpplein Noord), get off at bus stop Aalbersestraat and then you need to walk for about 12 minutes before reaching Up Events (about 900 metres). The bus ride takes about 10 minutes, 4 buses leave every hour, the price for an one-way ticket is €1.91 (payable with a debit card on the bus). There is also a bus from Central Station to Up Events (bus 21).
At Up Events you can park for free in the weekends. There is a very big parking space just in front of the location.

From Schiphol Airport there is a free shuttle bus service to the hotel (distance 7 kilometers, bus stop A9, follow the signs “Hotel Shuttle”, in front of Schiphol Plaza).

The Welcome Reception and canal trip take place on Friday 22 August. This is included in the price of your registration ticket. The venue for the Welcome Reception has changed and will take place at the Dutch Pancake Masters, Amsterdam. The address is Damrak 44, 1012 LK, Amsterdam. We will take a short walk to the canal trip from there.
You can take the free shuttle from the Steigenberger to the airport. The train station is located at the airport (Schiphol Plaza), from there you can take a direct train to Amsterdam Central Station. Duration 17 minutes, frequency 6-8 trains an hour.
The price of a one-way ticket is € 6,20. You can buy a ticket for public transport at the airport from the blue/gray Public Transport Tickets machines. These are located at the baggage belts of Arrivals 1, 2 and 3 and at Schiphol Plaza.
The “Rederij” is just in front of the Central Station.
When your back is to the central station, walk towards the city centre. Immediately after you pass the water/canal, turn right (in front of the Victoria Hotel), you are now on Prins Hendrikkade, here you will already see the signs with Lovers.
